DESCRIPTION:
WW - Heuer Carrera Chronomatic, ref 150.573, automatic, 39mm x 43mm to lug tips, 18mm lug width, original stainless steel screw back barrel case with round slotted pump pushers set on opposite side of winding crown, original stainless steel bracelet signed Heuer, original brown lume dial with applied silver baton lumed indices, date aperture at 6, two inset subregisters with orange accents for minute recording and subsidiary seconds, 17J cal 15, s#322681, triple signed. Part of the historically significant partnership for project 99, Heuer along with Hamilton/Buren, Breitling and Dubois-Depraz set out to construct the world's first automatic chronograph, although who was truly "first" is up for endless debate among vintage collectors.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, chronograph functions and resets properly, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, very light oxide to steelwork, light fine scratches to plates; excellent dial with light surface spotting and several fine surface scratches; excellent faded orange hands; polished case shows little wear, excellent sunburst finishing to bezel, no dents or dings; original signed Heuer crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
